Legacy
This programme commenced way back in 1981 at Jadavpur University as part of their Adult and Continuing Education programme. Since then it is being carried out at a number of colleges and institutes of the state. Initially it was a fifteen lecture course extended over a period of five days. At present the course is a four day one comprising twelve lectures each of one hour duration. Apart from theoretical classes, the course includes project and field work. Till date we were able to conduct the course at all the Universities of the state and also many of its affiliated colleges.
This Year report
Teachers of this course are provided by the Association, who are previously well trained through workshops and refresher courses. During the period under report, two such courses could be organised one at Ramakrishna Mission Residential college, Narendrapur, South 24 Parganas and the other at East Calcutta Girls’ College, Lake Town, Kolkata.
